Queen of the UFOs!!

I think I am queen of the UFOs. If I ONLY worked on UFO's for my goal of 50 pieces in 2009, I would have MORE than enough projects! EEKS!

Ok, on to better things. I started and finished SMO Let it snow. It is just a little thing, but it turned out cute!

Then I finished Holiday Jumble by SMO.

Off to work on All hearts come home for cookies by SMO!

Happy Stitching! (I also pulled out Nose Garden by SMO to work on today. I am hoping maybe I can finish that one for sure!! Then 2 UFO's would be gone!!! HOORAY!!)

UT OH!!!

Ut oh! Startitis has struck, and I can't help myself this time! I went through all my SMO's. I have a HUGE folder of Christmas. So I will finish a few small ones this Thanksgiving 4 day weekend. Hehehe!!! Anyone else been struck by startitis?

Happy early Thanksgiving everyone! I hope everyone has safe travels and a wonderful time with family and friends. We are staying home and just having a good time together.

Last night we had an awesome time of fellowship at the church and awesome food! I said we don't need to eat Thursday we ate so much last night! I will probably have a finish to share tonight!

I have a darn migraine so that has put a damper on my stitching this morning. I have to go get kids in a few minutes. Going to make bacon and cheese quesadillas when they get home. Maybe watch some movies and try and get rid of this migraine.

Blessings to everyone. Happy stitching if you get any done!!!

(If I am going to play Christmas music, might as well stitch festive stuff right?!?)

Birthdays, bowling and severe nausea

Well this weekend FLEW by! Friday during the day I went to Yakima with Tracy. We had a blast shopping!!! It wore me out though! Friday night, himself took Brittany and her friend to The Dalles to see Twilight. I wouldn't have done it. The movie didn't start until 9:20. That is a LONG day when you have worked all day and are waiting for the teens to come out of the movie! This is my son, the warrior!

Anyway, so Ellie spent the weekend at a friend's. So that left Lex, Hunter and I. Bubba went to bed so Lex and I watched The Love Guru. I fell asleep, naturally! If it is evening, everyone knows I will NOT make it through the first 10 minutes and if I do, it must be an awesome movie! The next day Jeff had to go finish the trees from last weekend, so Brittany, Lex, Britt's friend and I watched The Strangers. It was good, but not too impressive, I thought anyway.

Then Sat afternoon Lex's friend came over and Britt's went home. Here is Lex opening up a few presents!

Then we all went bowling and out to eat. This is where I was struck by SEVERE nausea. I have been feeling sick for about the past month in the AM, for about 3 hours each day. But never at night. I couldn't stand any smells or anything! Didn't get sick though. Then we came home and had cake. Of course I fell asleep watching Ironman! Sunday we went to church, came home, ate lunch, switched kids and headed to The Dalles to get groceries and our Thanksgiving meal. We had 10 minutes before we had to be back at church! We made it though. Yesterday I raked leaves and stacked wood for awhile. Last night the nausea got the best of me again. I still have it this morning, but I ate some toast and am drinking (no not soda either!!) so we shall see.

Tonight is our church Thanksgiving. We are making a potato dish that is my MIL's recipe.

Stitchy news. I got a little more done, as you can see. I went through magazines yesterday. I really really had the itch to start something new. Startistis tried to strike, but I resisted!!! (Patting myself on the back!) Just the thought of if I passed, and my family was going through my stuff, they would shake their heads wondering what I was doing with so many unfinished projects!

Why?

Why, Why, Why? Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are almost dead?

Why do banks charge a fee on 'insufficient funds' when they already know there is not enough money?

Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars; but have to check when you say the paint is still wet?

Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?

Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throw a revolver at him?

Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?

Whose idea was it to put an 'S' in the word 'lisp'?

If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes?

Why is it that no matter what color bubble bath you use the bubbles are always white?

Is there ever a day that mattresses are not on sale?

Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?

Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance?

Why is it that no plastic bag will open from the end on your first try?

How do those dead bugs get into those enclosed light fixtures?

When we are in the supermarket and someone rams our ankle with a shopping cart then apologizes for doing so, why do we say, 'It's all right?' Well, it isn't all right, so why don't we say, 'That really hurt, why don't you watch where you're going?'

Why is it that whenever you attempt to catch something that's falling off the table you always manage to knock something else over?

In winter why do we try to keep the h ouse as warm as it was in summer when we complained about the heat?

How come you never hear father-in-law jokes?

And my FAVORITE......The statistics on sanity is that one out of every four persons is suffering from some sort of mental illness. Think of your three best friends -- if they're okay, then it's you.
