Review: Goodbye to Yesterday Part 1

Goodbye to Yesterday: Part 1Goodbye to Yesterday: Part 1 by Wanda E. Brunstetter
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dang that Wanda Brunstetter! She really left me in a lurch on this one! Luke and Meredith haven't been married long. But their marriage is already being tested with Luke out of work and options are slim. Meredith thinks she is pregnant, about three months along, but she isn't going to say anything to Luke or anyone else until after her appointment with the midwife.

Luke's prayers about work seem to be answered when he gets a message from his uncle, who lives in Indiana and is a headstone carver. His uncle wants him to come to Indiana for a few weeks and learn how to engrave and buy the business from him. Luke gets Meredith to reluctantly agree and he heads out.

A winter storm is brewing and a drug addict has targeted Luke, seeing him with his billfold FULL of money. He waits until Luke goes into the bathroom, gets Luke to give him his clothes but when he won't give him his wallet, Alex (the homeless drug addict) beats Luke up..

and that is where Wanda leaves us, until the next month! Looking forward to what she does with this in helping Alex see God's love. He needs it. Desperately.

I received a copy of this book for free from netgalley in exchange for an honest opinion.
